This latest episode of Pehli Si Mohabbat was once again filled with exciting scenes and showed the inner struggles of some characters. The Zainab track got me guessing as everything we've seen in this episode must have a little more in it. Rakhshi has finally decided to apologize to Aslam and Nargis seems to be "learning" from Rakhshi. There were some scenes that were so recognizable and others that were a bit far-fetched. Overall, Pehli Si Mohabbat is still interesting. Right now, the Nargis track has my undivided attention as it is obviously difficult for her to ignore the fact that the only man she has ever loved is back in her life and wants to meet her.

 

The scene where she asks Faiz Ullah to stay or take her away was one of the best scenes tonight as it highlighted her inner struggle and commitment to that relationship. She is clearly "tempted" or she would not have called Farooq. Tonight we also found out why Murad knows all the details about Zainab's past from the conversation between Sikandar and his parents. I'm glad there is an adequate explanation for everything so far, and you haven't wondered for too long. Aslam turns out to be more mature and protective of Rakhshi than I expected, so this was another pleasant surprise. Sheheryar Munawar did exceptionally well on this particular scene.

Important developments

Few of the main characters made difficult decisions tonight and decided to accept what fate had in store for them. Others have made risky decisions and will have to deal with the repercussions in the next few episodes. Rakhshi has decided to get in touch with Aslam again, although in the previous episode it seemed like he never would. It is very likely that Akram will read the message he sent and show it to his father. Aslam, who left his cell phone behind, was downright far fetched, I couldn't possibly identify myself. However, this was a very important development as after reading these messages, Faiz Ullah will know that Rakhshi lied to him. With every episode that goes by, I connect more and more to the character of Rakhshi. Nargis' conversation with Rakhshi in the opening scenes was so well written. The way he analyzed the whole situation and saw Faiz Ullah as happy was such a lovely way to put it! The family dynamic in most of these families is that some members suffer to make others happy! As in every other episode, all scenarios were intertwined. If Faiz Ullah hadn't gone to confront Yasmin and Akram, Rakhshi might not have sent messages to Aslam. He knew Aslam would find out that she had denied having an affair with him and he would be hurt. However, he was never allowed to read the message! Aslam's argument about covering up Rakhshi was intriguing. It has definitely grown in those few weeks and breaks some stereotypes as well. Sikandar is determined to marry Rakhshi only because this time he wants to be the one causing pain to Zainab's family. He knows he has an advantage now and doesn't want to miss this opportunity.

 

Pehli Si Mohabbat Episode 13 Story Review - Trouble Ahead

The Zainab and Murad scene was once again played out so brilliantly that it literally reflects the entire dynamic of their relationship. Their scenes show how they spent so many years of their lives together! Akram's comments on Murad in the previous episode make the whole situation even more noticeable. She can be such a "caring" person when Zainab is in a vulnerable situation, but when she isn't, he makes sure to belittle and harass her whenever he gets the chance. Rather than portraying him as an abusive husband constantly ridiculing his wife, the writer also showed that side of his personality. There have been several scenes in which he has shown how desperately he wants to feel loved and needed, but Zainab just doesn't love him!

This last episode set the stage for major twists in the story of the next episode. All the performances were perfect and all the scenes added something important to the story. The preview of the next episode was so exciting that it will be hard to wait another week to watch it.
