It was interesting to see that despite the politics in the family, Bakht and Iffat were like sisters and friends who kept no secrets. It was only because it was Bakht's engagement that Ambreen's sister, Saiqa (Naima Khan), came with her daughter (Maryam Noor). Again, the equation they had with Ambreen and Bakht was pretty obvious, being each other's sisters, they continued to support each other through the chaos that followed Meerab's departure and didn't think about adding oil to the fire like Ambreen's in-laws did. . .

Although it was not something new, I liked the type of execution that the director chose for this script and although it is something that I have seen before, I found everything refreshing. There was a sense of realism in everything that was going on and what I liked the most was the focus on the emotions of others.  Tooba's introduction was also quite clear where she had her insecurities and complexes so her bitterness was self explanatory.

Ramsha Khan and Affan Waheed played their roles perfectly. It is not bad to say that Bakht reminded me a lot of Samiya from Ghisi Piti Mohabbat, but it is very good to know that he will find her happily ever after in Shehnai. 

Ramsha Khan makes no effort to portray these types of characters. Affan Waheed gave Meerab's character a really nice personality and what I liked the most about him was how, amid the chaos, he was trying to keep his composure. Bakht had a lot of fun, but Meerab didn't even have that luxury. I have to say that every time Affan and Ramsha shared the screen together, their chemistry was incredible. 

I'm glad we got to see such a new pair and they both really look great together. All the actors acted wonderfully and from the beginning their family chemistry was established and it just worked. I must say that the production value is excellent and I couldn't help but notice how beautiful the interiors were. All the ladies were beautiful and I loved their style and outfits. Javeria Abbasi looked beautiful and so did everyone. Although Ramsha Khan was in the spotlight,

 Maryam Noor immediately caught the eye and it was amazing how easy she was.

My favorites of the group were Qifayat and the character played by Maryam Noor. I really wish they had at least introduced her name to him because she really had a strong screen presence and I really enjoyed watching her character. I'm glad that Saleem Mairaj chose to play this kind of role and it's amazing how he even he adopted this kind of character where he's just troublesome without even realizing it. 

Umar Alam also played the role of him well and I noticed that although he hardly had any dialogue, his expressions were perfect in every situation. These supporting characters stood out the most and I already love the second main title that we will see evolve between the character of Maryam Noor and Rafay. Rafay already seems interested in feeding him and she just didn't have it. The brief exchange of certain expressions between the two made me laugh because it was so cute.

I wish there was a little more clarity on Meerab's name and pronunciation. At first I heard Absar call him Mehrab, which made sense as Bakht's name is also related to luck, so Mehrab is another sign that people often associate with luck. In promotions, her name was spelled Meerab, but throughout the episode the pronunciation kept changing. I wonder if it's Mehrab or Meerab. Also, if anyone knows the name of Maryam Noor's character, please let me know. Salma Hassan was quite interesting as Tooba but Saleem Mairaj stole the show with the subtlety of his body language.

 Zainab Qayyum, Javeria Abbasi, Javed Sheikh, Samina Ahmed, Nida Mumtaz and the rest of the cast also performed their roles very well. Some of the dialogue was quite funny and the general management was excellent. I'm not usually a fan of the background music and sound effects, but this part was well maintained in Shehnai, where I found myself enjoying the background music a lot. I can safely say that after watching the first episode, Shehnai is definitely the kind of drama that I will look forward to every week. Share your thoughts on Shehnai's intro episodes.

Shehnai Serial is a new upcoming Pakistani drama of ARY Digital Network. Affan Waheed and Ramsha Khan are popular faces for all viewers. The comedy-drama is an iDream Entertainment production and is expected to release in February 2021 on ARY Digital.

Nida Mumtaz is also going to be working on this drama Shehnai. She is the most popular and famous actor in this showbiz and also acts in many TV Serials. Now she is playing the main role in Serial with Affan Waheed and Ramsha Khan.

Albeit her stint as Hamna in Ishqiya wasn’t the type of girl we might wish to promote on television, Ramsha has been a neighborhood of excellent dramas also like Kesa Hai Naseeban. She is fairly new to the industry but has cemented an area for herself with dedication and hard work. After giving back-to-back serious performances, her fans were taken all of a sudden when she shared pictures of her upcoming comedy-drama.

The drama may be a romantic comedy during which Affan Waheed is playing her love interest. 

The director of the drama is Ahmed Bhatti. Ahmed Bhatti has worked within Ghisi Piti Mohabbat and Kaisa Hai Naseeban

This drama is written by Radain Shah, who had also written the script for my serial Khudparast. Ramsha Khan has worked with both Ahmed Bhatti and  Radain Shah before.
